What is OASIS 2014?? Well it happened on May 10th, 2014 and it was an art event that a few of us at the FCA-COC (Federation of Canadian Artists-Central Okanagan Chapter) worked hard on for about a year! This poster gives you all the details.
The Symposium was held on the Saturday and we had 3 guest artists do presentations. Suzanne Northcott, Rick McDiarmid, and David Langevin, gave use inspiring presentations on different topics. They, along our own SFCA member Dennis Weber, participated in a panel discussion with our audience and all did extraordinary demos in the afternoon!
The event received rave reviews and we hope to do it again next year!! Thanks to all who helped out and thanks to all the artists and attendees!

Our guest artist from Kamloops, David Langevin, wrote a wonderful blog post on OASIS that you can READ HERE!
I believe, judging from the positive comments I and other members from our group received, that this event is poised to become a yearly staple for our local artists!! We are already planning for next year! The rotary has asked us to extend the art show until mid June to coincide with their WAM (Wine, Art and Music festival) and we may work with them next year to hold it around the same time!
Hope you enjoyed this post. Our chapter website will have some photos of the event soon. Check back HERE for that!! I'll have another blog post very soon announcing a workshop date and other news!
